What is your favorite 5 person dungeon from The Burning Crusade?

Old Hilllsbrad for me!

MMO-Champion have a whole heap of information on the loots you'll find in The Sunwell.

  • Items seems to be ilvl 154~155
  • At least one of them is ilvl 164 (Apolyon, the Soul-render), we can assume it's a loot from Kil'jaeden. I didn't try to get the ilvl for all items, maybe there are more loots from KJ.
  • Even if they're legit, these stats are probably from early beta servers and could be changed/removed once the 2.4 patch is released on PTR.
  • The feral staff is with the caster weapons, I know, I'm not redoing the screenshot just because of that. :/
  • Nothing is confirmed by Blizzard, trust it at your own risks.
  • (Bonus) It seems that the Arena Season 4 sets will be named "Brutal Gladiator". This one is still fairly unconfirmed though.

Do you want more light hearted stuff like Opera, or more randomness in raids, like Prince? Here's what Drysc says:

I would agree that the light-heartedness of the Opera is a really refreshing change, and it was great there's a place for it in Karazhan. In a world of demon-infested castles, dungeons, and dark caves it's not every one you can create such an event and have it fit and make sense. So, I think the Opera event was more a product of location than of the desire to make something a bit more whimsical.

As for Prince Malchezaar and that fight, yeah it's got the whole random thing going on with the infernals. However; you can mitigate the randomness of their drops any number of ways. By being over-geared you can certainly deal with the problems better as they crop up, but then really why are you fighting Prince? You can also track the fall of the infernals, have a barker that's good at watching them and able to anticipate their placement. Or, use one of a couple different placement strategies that make it almost impossible for an infernal to interfere. The last one being the most popular these days I suspect.

Here's a blue poster on why we have trash in the dungeons, which can be a pain in the butt!

"Trash" mobs do serve a purpose in dungeons though and while they may not be your favorite part of the dungeon, we try and keep a good balance of it versus the rewards of the particular dungeon.

Shattered Halls may have a fair amount of trash, but I believe it can drop up to five badges of justice which is the most you can get from a heroic dungeon so it makes sense for it to be a challenge to get through.

Do you, like me, think that the 1 week timer on Kara is too long? Well don't hold your breath for a change... Blizzard have no such plans!

We don't have any plans to shorten the Karazhan timer at this point in time. We're comfortable with how it is and so far, people seem to be getting good advantage out of the badge rewards from there.

While I haven't really seen this particular topic talked about anywhere, here is a good piece on how the hunter deadzone reduction has made levelling a hunter from 1-10 that much quicker - makes sense too!

Here's a great topic - do you tip your tank? Personally I never have :). They know their class has high repair costs, just a matter of the game.

I was wondering if there is some standard etiquette for tipping your main tank after instances. The repair bill for our much-loved meat shields is usually much higher than the bill for me and my clothy brethren, so I'm curious if most PUG's will throw the MT a few gold after a run. To be honest, I don't normally tip the MT (and in my experience, they don't expect one) but is this something we should do? If so, what's a good amount?

We have said that we really thought these armor models worked perfectly for coming out of this dungeon and we plan to reuse them for the "updated" version in Wrath of the Lich King.

As far as the actual statistics are concerns, I wouldn't expect them to remain anything like the original Tier 3 version.
  • Sunwell Isle will be located off the coast, north of Silvermoon, and will be patched in with patch 2.4
  • Sunwell Isle will be a major questing hub with a 5-man Normal and Heroic Instance (Magister's Terrace) and a 25-man raid (Sunwell Plateau). The goal with Sunwell Isle is to close the Burning Crusade storyline before the release of the next expansion.
  • There are still a few scenarios left that could be released to provide the players with more content if WotLK gets delayed for any reason.
  • At the release of the patch, players will access a small expedition camp where they can start questing.
Here's a story you probably know all too well - staying up quite late to just finish an instance - only to find that it takes you numerous wipes and several hours just to get through... and because it's in the wee hours it is all the more frustrating!

What are you favorite boss fights? Here's one example:

But by far it has to be Mr. Aran, the fact that he has low armor and only one AoE makes it the best melee oriented fight in kara. BTW, if you enjoy Pre-BC fights more; you can also state which ones and why

You ain't going to be getting any summons in Zul'Aman...:

We had to disable summoning yesterday via emergency hotfix due to some exploits. We're hoping to re-enable summoning as soon as possible. We know it's a big inconvenience and we apologize.

On a related note, we're looking into fixing some issues with summoning that would once again enable us to allow warlocks to summon people into an instance from anywhere in the world. This could happen as soon as the next big content patch (2.4.0) if all of the technical issues can be resolved by then.

Information on a contest being run by DreamHack - you have to achieve as higher level as you can in 20 minutes from starting the game. The key question - which class, and probably more so - which starting area?
You've probably all read the debates on welfare epics with the season 1 arena gear becoming purchasable for honor points... well here we have what looks to be the first well though out, civilised debate on the topic.

People have been complaining that Zul'Aman gear lacks in defense... however Blizzard have responded why:

While defense affects crits and not crushing blows, the tanking gear in Zul'aman provides more options for players. For example if you have enough defense already, there are items where you can get more shield block value or hit rating or stamina which should improve your overall tanking statistics.
