Some huge news on the forums today - Heroic instance keys can now be purchased with Honored rep, and when I say now I mean on the PTR's... so this change will come in to effect with the 2.3 patch - bring it on!

That's intended. It was a late change so the patch notes haven't been updated to reflect it.

Did you just hit level 60 and from now until level 70 you want to maximize your in-game gold as well as reputation? Well then check out this excellent guide posted in the official forums...

This is the final version of my endgame guide. Thanks to all who gave input and advice.

Since I've gotten all my Heroic Keys, Karazhan key, and my epic flying mount, I've gotten many of questions about how to do this and not be broke at lvl 70, so I wrote a guide.

I realize many players have no issue with earning gold by financing their new toons with older established endgame toons, but I rerolled Horde and many people are new to the game and need some help figuring this stuff out.

If it helps you, then great. It is not all-inclusive or class-specific (such as druids that want to grind Cenarion Expedition rep for the druid staff they can sell you).

Good luck and good looting.

Hows this for addicted/having no life/being dedicated...

This one guy has got exalted rep with just about every faction in the game that he can! All in around 352 days /played!

Reputation grinds are about to start being capped in the 2.1.0 patch... as Drysc explains for things like the rep grinds, you will only be able to gain so much reputation every day.

If we were to limit the amount of ogres you could kill, or really more appropriately the number of beads you could turn in each day, we could then lessen the amount of beads required to complete the reputation and the rewards would be better as we could guarantee that the investment length (not actual hours mind you) is standard and then be able to justify better rewards because of it.

In any case quite a few of these quests allow you to collect the items in advance, and then maybe log in quickly every day or so to turn in if you have more timer here and there to farm for the items beforehand. These quests also don't comprise of the entirety of all quests being added.

It's a new mechanic that we think provides a huge amount of benefit for the casual player in regards to questing. With an artificial block in place we can moderate the pace of the content, and provide better rewards for less actual time played. That means players with less time don't have to deal with a faction that had to be inflated in length just so those with more time wouldn't blow through the content within a inconsequential amount of time. Less time played, standardized length of content, and the rewards we can justify the length of that content providing.
