Tigole hit the forums and talked about Player Titles in Wrath of the Lich King:

We want titles to be meaningful in WoW and not commonplace. Our goal is to release more titles sparingly, so that the titles carry weight with other players. We do have a lot of plans for some new systems incoporating titles in Wrath of the Lich King. More information will be coming out on that soon.

Also, we feel like we have to be careful about rewarding people for behavior that might not be the best game experience. As much as everyone loves killing Murlocs, I feel like I have a moral and social responsibility not to encourage you to grind out 10,000 Murloc kills.

You'll always be the Scourge of the Murlocs in my book, Lexorn. No need to grind that much ;)

Yup, all the gear you've worked so hard to get since the release of the Burning Crussade will be made obselete with The Wrath of the Lich King.

We did that for about 2 years, then The Burning Crusade came out, and we've been doing it again for about a year so far, seems it's about time for a change of pace and a real big update again.

Also "resetting" the gear helps even out the playing field which can especially be helpful for new characters (Ex. Deathknights) or people who want to get into raiding. Those who want to be on the bleeding edge will get back to it, but I don't think it hurts anything to do this. No items you get make you permanently great, you need to keep playing to maintain awesomeness.

The game moves forward.

From their Wrath of the Lich King product page:

Official price and release date have NOT been announced by Blizzard. In this case, the price and release date were determined by the GameStop e-commerce staff, (comprised of overpowered warlocks), using a combination of 6 and 20-sided die.

We have said that we really thought these armor models worked perfectly for coming out of this dungeon and we plan to reuse them for the "updated" version in Wrath of the Lich King.

As far as the actual statistics are concerns, I wouldn't expect them to remain anything like the original Tier 3 version.

Could the Necromancer be a heroic class? Well it seems maybe...

We have many interesting classes that we could implement, but like all things, we needed to decide which classes would be the most interesting and capable of being robust additions to the game from the start. The Necromancer is one class that has been in consideration before. Who knows. Perhaps someday the Necromancer will come into play within the World of Warcraft, but that is something for the future to decide.

Is Amazon.co.uk incorrect in saying that 8 January is the release of Wrath of the Lich King - heck yes they are!

Vivendi in a press release indicated 1st half of 2008--announcements of that nature usually mean the very last day of the first half.

And Blizzard has in the past pretty much delayed any game they felt wasn't ready--missing holiday shopping season whenever the game wasn't done. So all dates are made up dates until Blizzard releases one.

There are some new screenshots from Wrath of the Lich King up on the WoW Europe site.
Seem there is a scam/rumor going around that Blizzcon attendees have received an email saying that the Wrath of the Lich King beta is going to start soon. This is incorrect, there is no beta planned yet.
Are Blizzard getting lazy or what? Although I think it was said already... they are reusing the Naxx armor models for Wrath of the Lich King.

World of Raids discovered a hidden link that reveals some new information about Wrath of the Lich King, particularly the Utgarde Keep dungeon.

"Utgarde’s design ties closely into the creation of Howling Fjord as a whole. Less high-concept than the otherworldly and wildly diverse regions of Outland, we want the zones in Northrend to follow a geographic theme that’s more consistent with the familiar geography of Azeroth. Many of Northrend’s regions originally appeared in Warcraft III – such as Howling Fjord, one of the two starting areas and also where Utgarde Keep is prominently located. Howling Fjord’s Azerothian feel stands in sharp contrast to the stark, alien beauty of Hellfire Peninsula, and this should help players establish an immediate connection to the expansion’s new environments."

For all you budding webmasters out there, Blizzard have released an official Wrath of the Lich King fansite kit. It contains:

Concerned you might have to shell out huge amounts of gold for a new mount in the Wrath of the Lich King? Don't worry... you won't have to:

We are happy with the transportation that the existing ground and flying mounts provide so while new riding skill brackets are always possible in the future, we currently have no plans to implement them in Wrath of the Lich King.

Death Knights will do both tanking and DPS:

Tanking is not the only thing that the Death Knights will be doing as we plan to have them fill DPS rolls as well. They are able to tank as they are very strong beings who can take the hits and keep on going.

I am calling this absolute bs, but a site claims to have received screenshots of the Wrath of the Lich King Alpha downloader. Check them out for yourself after the jump.
Just in case you were wondering, there will be no sex limitations on the Death Knight class - female Death Knights will be able to be created.
